Wembley Stadium
•
JCPR started working for Wembley National Stadium Ltd (WNSL) in 2003 to build
the awareness of new the Wembley Stadium and its offering prior to opening
in 2006
• The publicity push was two-fold - aiming to build noise and
excitement to a general consumer audience and football fans. Secondly, the
objective was to drive awareness of the Club Wembley 10 year seat license
to an audience of High Net Worth Individuals
• A heavyweight media relations campaign ran throughout 2004 focusing
on high profile site visits (Mayor Ken Livingstone, Sir Bob Geldof, Tessa
Jowell MP, Barbara Cassani), the faces behind the project and key milestones
in the build of the stadium - particularly the raising of the colossal 133m
Wembley Arch - the iconic symbol of the new Wembley
•
A 'topping out' ceremony was also held to mark the completion
of the Arch which was attended by David Beckham, Sven Goran Eriksson and PM
Tony Blair with media management undertaken by JCPR
• 408 pieces of positive coverage were generated
in total
throughout 2004 reaching an audience of 472m (OTS), through national and regional
broadcast, national print, consumer
magazines, specialist football media, online and trade media
